Native Earth Wild Craft Medicines
Tansi, I’m Amanda Bird, creator of Native Earth Wild Craft Medicines. I come from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and have been a visitor on Coast Salish Territory for my adult life. My culture is Mikisew Cree, and the way that I work with medicine comes from the spirit of my ancestors and our belief in the healing powers of nature. I am a certified Medical Herbalist with formal training in Indigenous Medicine, Western Herbalism, Ayurvedic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Holistic Nutrition, with extensive experience in community clinics and dispensaries. I am also a certifiedFamily and Community Counsellor with a passion for facilitating land based healing. An avid gardener and forest forager, I believe in connecting with the natural world as the path to connecting with Self and Creator. I practice medicine as an act of social justice, teaching in the spirit of health sovereignty, and building community for a balanced and loving world.
